WHS Business Partner

The Work Health and Safety Business Partner opportunity will assist low risk business units to develop, implement, audit and continually improve the organisation's Safety Management System in accordance with the requirements of WHS legislation and associated standards.

Some of your duties in this role will include

Liaise with all level of staff and management to actively educate and promote the Safety Management System.
Identify opportunities for improvement to Safety Management System documentation and workplace practices.
Act as a WHS consultant, providing timely and accurate reporting and advice to managers and staff within low risk council business units
Coordinate the Return To Work functions for low risk units
Ensure achievement of organisational lead and lag indicators.
Assist with WHS audits, quarterly reporting and other Safety Management System programs

 The successful applicant will possess:

Qualifications in WHS or equivalent experience
Experience in implementing Safety Management System processes and procedures.
Class C drivers’ licence.
Knowledge of the WHS legislative framework
The ability to interpret and apply legislation to meet business requirements.

This opportunity is offered on a Temporary Full-time basis (up to 12 months)

The salary range for this opportunity commences at $82.358 (Grade G, Step1) + 10% super
