Plant Operator,Street Cleaning(Nights)X2

We are currently seeking an experienced 2 Plant Operator (Street Cleaning Night) to join the Waste and Cleansing team at Canterbury-Bankstown Council. 

The primary purpose of the role is to perform day-to-day operational requirements as directed by Waste Services and City Clean Team Leaders in a thorough, professional and cost-effective manner that will meet contractual requirements. Shift times will be 10:00pm to 6:30am, Monday to Sunday.

The salary range for this opportunity commences at $58,417 (Grade C, Step1) + 10% super

  • Operation of plant and equipment associated with street cleaning activities
  • Removal of dumped rubbish
  • Emergency response requests
  • Bin assembly, delivery and retrieval
  • Daily maintenance of plant to ensure safe and efficient operation 
  • Day to day documentation and pre and post check list maintained in an accurate and timely manner 
  • Litter collection, billposter removal and cleaning street furniture (including graffiti removal)
  • Other tasks as required 

Essential Criteria

  • 2+ Years road broom experience
  • Must be willing to provide a copy of your driving record which can be obtained from the RMS.
