The Role;
To be an integral member of the Roads Infrastructure Services Team to resolve customer needs in relation to Council’s roads infrastructure assets and services.
The starting Salary for this role is $90,132 p/a (Grade H, Step 1)
The main duties for this role will include;
•Administer customer applications for provision of Council approvals/services/information such as the Stormwater Information Application (flood level information report and flood modelling data), Dividing Fences, Directional/Community Signage and National Heavy Vehicle Regulator (NHVR) applications •Assist the requirements for Council’s membership of the Street Lighting Improvement Program •Assist with the management of Council’s street furniture contracts •Contribute to the development and implementation of Council's Delivery Program, Operational Plan and the Unit Plan •Contribute to relevant policies, guidelines and standard drawings for related assets and services and provide expert advice to the community, staff and Council as required •Contribute to the investigation and provision of advice regarding acquisition and disposal of Council assets as required •Investigate and respond to customer requests as allocated and where applicable make recommendations to the Team Leader for consideration and possible inclusion in the Rolling Capital Works Program or request maintenance work as necessary

Essential Qualifications and Experience for this role;
•Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering, similar field or extensive industry related experience •Class C Driver's Licence •WH&S Construction White Card •Demonstrated practical experience in road infrastructure investigation, maintenance and construction techniques •Demonstrated understanding of asset management principles •Demonstrated understanding of stakeholder engagement on issues and projects •Demonstrated well-developed computer skills in Microsoft Office and GIS applications •Demonstrated understanding in the preparation of project briefs, budgets, construction plans, specifications, BoQs and contracts •Demonstrated knowledge of relevant Acts, Regulations, Legislation, Guidelines, Codes and Council Policies •High-level oral communication skills including the ability to make effective presentations •Demonstrated experience in preparation of project briefs and management of consultants. •Desirable: Demonstrated understanding of stormwater and floodplain management
